Realtor® with Prudential PenFed Realty Speaks on Key Business Approaches and Growing Hispanic Market in D.C. Area

One of Prudential PenFed Realty’s top real estate agents, Ermeess Rivera Faris, recently spoke to Hispanic Realtors on key business approaches and about the growing Hispanic market for homes at a forum hosted by the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors. The discussion was part of the Hispanic Realtors Forum, the area’s top networking event for Hispanic real estate agents.

Faris, who works out of Prudential PenFed Realty’s Reston office and has been with the company since 2006, said it was an honor to speak to other Hispanic real estate agents about growing their clientele at such a well-known forum. She added that the market for Hispanic homebuyers is expanding rapidly in the Washington area, but it’s often underestimated and misunderstood.

According to the 2011 State of Hispanic Homeownership Report by the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, Hispanic households that earn more than $100,000 per year grew by 125 percent to 3.7 million over the past decade nationwide.  In Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia, nearly one in every four Latino households earns more than $100,000 a year.
